If there is one thing you must do in the hot, humid Florida heat-it is to stay hydrated. Walt Disney World gets HOT and it is not an option, you must drink plenty of water. Here is how-
Recently I decided to try some Walt Disney World thrills that I had never tried before. That included my first visit to Blizzard Beach. What bigger thrill there than Summit Plummet? Like a lamb to the slaughter, I decided to get on the “ski lift” and head to the top of, for me, the uncharted Disney mountain.
Kali River Rapids is a favorite attraction of mine in Animal Kingdom, second only to Expedition Everest. When it comes to getting wet and cooling off, there is no other attraction like it.
The only places to get wetter are the water parks Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. I’ve read reviews that people feel they get too wet on this attraction and have to go back to the resort and change. This is ridiculous. With the Florida heat, being soaked is refreshing. You will dry off in 20 minutes max.
Splash Mountain is one of my favorite attractions in Walt Disney World. Although the story centers around Brer Rabbit, what I always remember most from the attraction is Brer Bear. Why is he hanging from some sort of sling contraption? Why is his butt sticking out from a thorny bush full of bees? What the heck is going on with this bear?
